Children's Mental Health Week 2021
From 1st to 7th February 2021, schools, other organisations and individuals across the United Kingdom will participate in Children’s Mental Health Week. This year’s theme is ‘Express Yourself’ and we would like to encourage all children to think of creative ways that they can share their feelings, thoughts and ideas. Their creativity may be portrayed in various forms: art, music, writing, poetry, dance, drama, photography and film.
To mark the start of Children’s Mental Health Week, the Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of Place2Be has sent a message of encouragement to children and parents to think of creative ways to share their thoughts and feelings, especially during challenging times.

At Lathom Junior School, this topic will be discussed during online assemblies and children will dress up to ‘Express Themselves’ for these sessions. Children from Years 3 to 6 will complete and submit an assignment on the Google classroom, where they are encouraged to express themselves through art.
Place2Be in partnership with BAFTA Kids and Oak National Academy have created a series of virtual sessions led by experts as they share how they creatively express themselves and offer advice to children and young people.
