Black History E-Exhibition 2020
Dear parents and carers,
2020 has been an incredible year. All communities, whether large or small, have had to make sacrifices for the common good and in line with Government guidelines. To this end, we, at Lathom, have had to think outside the box, in order to showcase the incredible work our children produce for Black History Month. 2019 was one of our best exhibitions, along with parents, carers and School Governors, we even had the Mayor of Newham, Rokshana Fiaz in attendance. The work the children have produced in 2020 has raised the bar again.
So with no further ado, Lathom Junior School, would like to cordially invite you to our Black History Month E-Exhibition on Wednesday 25th November 2020. The children’s work will be available via their Google Classrooms from 2.00pm on that day. You will be able to listen to children discuss their Black History figure or event, including Baroness Floella Benjamin, Maya Angelou, George Washington Carver and The Windrush. There will be a range children’s work, the result of collaborative evidence gathering and research. You will see writing and artwork and will enjoy the fruits of their labour in a virtual museum experience. We hope you enjoy the work, as much as the children did participating in the activities and we would welcome your comments.
We hope next year we can once again welcome you all into school, so you can see all the children’s work in person and indulge in some excellent Caribbean food.
