World Mental Health Day 2020
On the 10th October every year, The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day. This year’s theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health is ‘mental health for all’.
Mental Health is just as important as good physical health. When you’re in good mental health, you can make the most of your potential, cope with life and play a full part in your family, workplace and community.
Students at Lathom were able to list several ways to keep themselves mentally healthy.
Here are some examples:
- have a healthy diet
- feel safe at home and at school
- exercise daily
- visit the doctor when you are sick
- know who to talk to when you are feeling unhappy
Children were also able to identify places that make them feel happy and described why these places are considered special to them.
