THE CURRICULUM
The curriculum which we offer all of our children is provided through a series of planned units of work which are created and implemented by our teaching staff. It is in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum and local initiatives and we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which reflects our children, the resources that we have available to us at Lathom and is culturally inclusive
We teach our subjects separately but we are always trying to make links across the curriculum and we try to put the children's learning into context so that they can make better sense of their world and that they can generalise their learning by making links.
The recent addition of laptops in years 5 and 6 has enriched the curriculum we offer and we are continually attempting to make it more personalised so that the way individuals learn is considered when we are doing our planning.
